Where To Exchange The Iraqi Dinar In The Future?
"There are a lot of places where I can buy Iraqi dinars, but where can I sell them?"
I get this question in my mailbox on a daily basis. To explain this best to you let me first begin explaining why this opportunity even exists.
You can buy dinars everywhere because this is not a common currency yet. They are 'just' a pack of printed paper. That is the key to trade and sell them freely, by anyone.
If this was an accepted currency from the day it was printed this 'money loophole' would not even be known. The reason is simple: Governments do not allow currency exchange unless you are a registered corporation.
That is also the reason why this is a time limited opportunity!
Here is why: As soon as Iraq gets his act together, the World Bank is going to review Iraq's status and when they think it is stable enough it will be accepted. As soon as that happens you will be breaking the law trying to sell dinars!
"Now what has this got to do with selling my dinars?"
Everything! After acceptance by the world bank, all the banks in the world will follow and you can excahnge them there! Just as you would sell your euros or yens after a holiday.

hi i was just curious should you get any proof of purchase documents if you buy dinars? especialy when it comes from america and is being shipped to australia?
Check out the dealer carefully and get as much documentation as you can. Pay with a credit card if you can. It provides much greatrer consumer protection than other forms of payment.
Are there any of these banks in Texas? Where are they located?
While deployed to Iraq in 2005 I purchased some Iraqi dinar as a long term investment. If or when they get the govt. stable and their currency raises in value what kind of problems can I expect in exchanging the dinar for dollars? Will my military documentation showing I was there be sufficiant, because obviously I would not have any documentation when I was buying mine from local shop owners in Iraq.
Any information or thoughts on this would be greatly apprciated.
In the late 60′s , Brazil changed from Cruzeiros to Cruzeiros Novos. All the did was to place a big black 5 encircled with Cruzeiros Novos on the old 5,000 Cruzeiro notes. I remember seeing new shoe in the stores for CR$45,000 or CRN$45. Several years later the CRNs were changed to Cruzados, then several years later the Cruzados became Cruzados Novos, then serveral years later the Cruzados Novos became Reis and the last I heard they are back to Cruzeiros. Brazil then and now is one of the more progressive and affluent nations in South America, but they are not 40 years better off economically. Still lots of poor, small middle class and the old wealthy still wealthy today. Why will IRAQ be any different? They still have the oil they had before with a huge reduction in their population since the Iraqi War. Their ratios are probably the same as twenty years ago. Like Brazil, NO REAL CHANGE.
